About Ninoff

Ninoff was a creation of Nina Krasikoff and her daughter Kristina Feigin after a lifetime of travel collecting textiles and ethnic jewelry, exploring the markets of faraway lands and pursuing their studies of all aspects of art and design. The early collections of one-of-a-kind wearable art, inspired by exotic world cultures, have been appreciated by a private clientele from all over the world for many years.

In 1996, after relocating to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, their success and accomplishments included an exhibition of fashion illustrations at the Pedro Friedeberg Art Gallery and Museum, designing a collection for a fundraising event to benefit DIFFA, costume design for the Teatro Angela Peralta, and running a successful boutique for five years.

The decision to venture into accessories came from their discovery of the rare centuries-old art of floral oya. Oya is an ancient form of traditional needlelace, hand crocheted from home spun silk by the women of Anatolia, used to adorn the edging of various garments, linens and scarves for their trousseau. The debut necklace and belt collection in 2006 has sold to numerous celebrities, and recent collections featured oya incorporated with pashmina, silk, felt and leather and finished with vintage pearls, beads and intricate leather stitching.

Currently based in Chicago, Nina and Kristina continue to devote their attention to the creation of unique, distinctive and timeless accessories for sophisticated, urban women around the world.
